This past weekend, our Steel Bridge and Concrete Canoe teams completed their annual regional competitions with structures that passed all loading, strength, and deflection tests. Out of 10 teams, Steel Bridge placed 2nd overall in Brooklyn and completed the bridge assembly in just over 18 minutes, earning them an invitation to the national ASCE Steel Bridge Competition on May 31st. The Concrete Canoe team will not be attending nationals this year, however they earned 3rd place in the coed team race, 3rd place in the men's slalom race, and 3rd place in the desin paper when the results were announced at Cook's Pond in Denville, NJ on Sunday. We are very proud of the great analysis, design, and training work they've completed throughout the year and wish both teams more successes in the future.
